Parker's 1st BYU Football Game!

We finally had a break in our crazy lives to go to a BYU football game!!! It was a blast! The game was a little too close for me but Parker's first experience in the stadium, cheering on his team with his crazy BYU fanatic parents was priceless! He really seemed to have fun while he was awake... he slept through the first and last quarters. He got excited though when Mom and Dad would cheer and only cried a couple times due to the loud noise. We really had a lot of fun.

The best part of the trip was seeing Kristen again! We miss her! She is loving BYU and we got to meet her roommates and a couple of her other friends. And she loved showing off her nephew. We also got to see some of my girlies... Jillian, Hayley, Vanessa and Nick (Nick isn't a girl of course but one of my best buds) Chris, Hope and Laura and her new hubby Jesse made us dinner! We got to see Tyler's friends Amber and her new husband Preston and Brian and Nikki. Unfortunately we were only there in Provo for a day and a half so we didn't get to see all the friends we would have loved to see!!!

Oh we love the Lavell Edwards Stadium!

Parker all bundled up, hanging out with Daddy. Luckily it was only a little chilly at the beginning of the game. As the day went on it warmed up and we were stripping clothes off Parker to keep him happy.

We had a little bit of time to relax on Sunday so we went to Rock Canyon Park up by the temple. These are some cute pictures we took there.

We really enjoyed ourselves, mostly because we got to spend a whole uninterrupted weekend together as a family. That is rare between our crazy schedules and I am so glad we finally found time to do it!

I'm a Nurse!

Ok, so I am kind of a nerd but today in my clinicals we got to give flu vaccines! I finally felt like a nurse rather than a CNA! Giving shots is a little weird, I don't usually enjoy purposely inflicting pain on people but after getting my nerves out on the first few, it was really fun. And I didn't even make anyone cry, ha ha. I'm still not a fan of giving kids shots but today it was only elderly patients and the nursing home staff. In two weeks I get to work in th OR and follow a patient through pre-op, observe the surgery (which will be so cool!) and then give post-op care. I'll finally get to do something I love! YAY!

Fall Fun

Three Months Old!

Little Parker is three months old tomorrow! I can't believe how fast time flies. He is getting so big and so is his personality! He loves to chat! He will tell stories that go on for several minutes and are full of emotion (laughing, yelling, whining, etc...). It is so fun. Not to mention that adorable giggle that comes out most when Dad is hanging him upside down or throwing him in the air (living up to his middle name). Here he is all ready for church in his "big boy" outfit. And below are his "big boy" shoes... so cute!

Tyler and I had a little BSU vs Hawaii football party... after all college football is one of the best parts of Fall. We were hoping to get to go to the game but it sold out before we got tickets so instead we invited Tyler's whole family over and we had pizza and watched the game. It was a lot of fun and I decided I really enjoy hosting parties... although someday I hope to have a little more room for my guests but we all fit into our living room around the TV somehow. It's also fun to have Tyler's younger siblings around, kids are fun!

Here Parker's cousin Libby is attempting to hold him with a little help. She is excited to have a cousin!

Here is Parker with his cousin Peyton. It was time to go and this was the best picture we could get. Hopefully we'll get a better one soon!

The next night we had a college football/pumpkin carving party with my family. Kristen came home (my sister) and we were sooooo excited to see her- Parker missed his aunt! We watched football all day, had dinner, and then carved pumpkins.

This is Parker and Tyler's touchdown dance!

Yum.. Pumpkin guts!

And the finished product. It's a bat if you can't tell from my wonderful artistic ability. I drew the bat, Tyler cut off the top, I cleaned out the guts, and he carved it. Parker spent most of his time supervising with Grandma, but he still had fun!

Yellowstone

Tyler had an appraisal to do in Bozeman, MT so at the last minute we decided we would all load up and go! We needed a  little break anyway. Tyler and his parents lived in Bozeman for the first couple years of his life, he doesn't really remember anything from living there but I'd never been to Montana so it was a fun little adventure for us. We got there and Tyler got the info and pictures he needed and then we headed for the hotel I picked out over the internet... I was a little embarrassed when we got there and it was right next to a truck stop. The hotel wasn't too bad but the scenery and noisy semi-trucks were pretty lame. I think hotels.com needs to do a better job of describing the location. Oh well it was all part of our adventure. We ate at Famous Dave's, a steakhouse, which was pretty good. Parker was quite the flirt with our waitresses and soon we had a couple more waitresses and even a waiter (guys don't usually clamor over babies) hovering over our table and admiring him.

On our way to Idaho Falls the next day we decided to continue our adventure and drive through Yellowstone- neither of us have ever been (except when Tyler was a baby). We didn't realize we had five hours of driving through the park in store for us but it was actually a lot of fun. It was a windy 40 * through out the park so we made all of our photo shoots as short as possible. Here are some of our adventures....

The beautiful canyon and water fall.

During our hour wait for Old Faithful to go off. Parker wouldn't let me hide him in his blanket to keep him warm. He insisted on looking around. He is a very curious little one!

Finally! It was worth the wait though. So cool!

The small falls.

The sweet Bison/Buffalo (don't know the difference) we saw. We were so excited, he was walking down the road like he owned the place. A little too close for my comfort, especially when he stopped and stared at us.

Our chilly picture in the canyon. It was soooo cold but Parker was warm all snuggled with Dad in his sweatshirt. We weren't really prepared for 40* weather. I was wearing flip flops! Apparently in Yellowstone it goes straight from summer to winter.
