He's Already One Month Old!

Our little man is one month old today... it went by so fast! He has grown so much (we are guessing he weighs about8.5 - 9lbs) and has developed so many cute facial expressions. He has a pretty good sleeping schedule, anywhere from 3-5 hours at a time. His favorite things right now are eating, being naked, bath time, and "baby exercises" and playing airplane with daddy. We have loved having him in our family and have loved watching him grow.We can definitely tell he has close ties to heaven because he has brought an added measure of the Spirit to our home.

Salt Lake Trip

After our trip to Logan went so well, we decided to venture on another road trip back down to Utah with Kristen and our Friends Jeff, Laura and Jack. We were a little worried about spending five hours in the car with two little babies and then cramming five adults and two babies in one hotel room, but to our surprise the trip was a success and we all had a great time! We squeezed ourselves into Tyler's parents' mini-van and headed for Salt Lake on Sunday. We stayed in one room at the Plaza hotel, right across the street from Temple Square.

On Monday we went to the Trolley Square mall and ate at the Rodizio, one of those restaurants where they keep bringing you meat and you keep eating it until you're so full you can't move because it's so good! Then we wondered around the mall and took pictures of our families.

Family Fun!

With the Johnson Family... we love them!

That night the boys and Kristen went to the Jack Johnson concert, leaving Laura and I and the babies behind. We didn't mind too much because they left us with money and we hit up the Gateway Mall and did a little shopping. This too was an adventure... the boys slept for most of it but we both had to use changing rooms to nurse in... I'm sure none of the employees noticed me grabbing a handful of clothes not even my size and running into a changing room with a crying baby. I'm sure they weren't suspicious when I was in there for 15 minutes either... oh well. We had fun even on the walk back to our hotel when Parker and Jack decided they had had enough and began a chorus of screaming for the last two blocks or so.

Little Twinners who survived shopping with their crazy mothers!

On Tuesday we went to Temple Square and toured the 1.4 million square foot Conference Center (I had no idea it was that big!). That was about all we could do because soon after that the little boys decided they were ready to go back to Boise! So we loaded up and headed home. We were all very impressed with how good the babies were through out the trip.

It was also really fun to get to spend time with Kristen before she moves down to Provo for school in a couple weeks. I'm really going to miss her and I know Parker was happy to have his aunt around!

Three Weeks Fly By

Wow! I can't believe how fast the past three weeks went by. We are currently shopping for a new computer and waiting for my lap top to be finished getting fixed so until then, I don't have a way of getting all of my adorable pictures on my blog so you'll have to be patient with me. Ha ha. Anyway... the past three weeks have been quite an adventure! Parker has done really well through all the excitement. He got to meet His great Grandma Norma, Uncle Frank, Tamitha, Tristan and Steal from California when he was just shy of a week old. They just happened to plan a trip for Grandma's 70 birthday to Yellowstone the week he was born so that was a fun surprise. He has spent lots of time getting to know both sets of Grandparents and all of his adoring uncles and aunts who fight over who gets to hold him next. We can't really blame them though, Parker is pretty darn lovable! Parker has also enjoyed becoming the third wheel on mommy and daddy's date nights and we love having him around too. We especially love his talent of sleeping in his car seat in extremely noisy restaurants the entire time we are there. Makes life a lot easier on us!

Tyler stayed home from work for the first week to help out which saved my life! I literally cried when he had to go back to work the next week but Parker and I are enjoying all our time together and we still get plenty of time with Dad too! We love going to watch Dad play church softball... even when the other team doesn't show up.

Parker had his first run through the sprinklers this past week as well. The families in our apartment complex/ward all got together for a BBQ. Well about 30 seconds after Tyler and I finally got to sit down and eat, the sprinklers came on and hosed all of us! It was pretty funny watching all the moms grab their babies and car seats and run for cover while the everyone else frantically tried to grab the food before it was ruined. After that we enjoyed playing the Johnson's board and washer game (I know there is a better name for it but I don't remember what it is). Don't worry Laura, I'll put all of those great pics up from that night;) Later that week Tyler and went to the driving range together out in the crazy hot weather, but we had fun... mostly just laughing at my "rusty" skills!

We also ventured on our first road trip with Parker down to Logan, UT for Brad and Allison's wedding! He did great on the four hour drive and slept there and back! We spent the night with our friends Kim and Greg and their four month old baby Caiden. It was so fun to hang out and watch the Olympics and eat donuts and Cafe Rio with them! Brad and Allison's sealing was awesome. They are great together and we are so happy for them! We also got to see our former singles' branch president, Pres Martinez and his wife Debbie. They plan on being a third set of Parker's grandparents. We also got to have lunch with Jillian and Charlotte who came up from Provo. The trip was a blast until Saturday morning when I woke up with the chills and lots and lots of pain! I found out after going to an urgent care place that I had Mastitis. If you don't know what that is... consider yourself lucky and pray you never get it! I'm already feeling much better though... until it's time to nurse, that still hurts quite a bit.

Lastly, we had the annual Analytix summer BBQ at the Stafford's house last night with everyone Tyler works with. Poor Parker was pretty grumpy having not slept much (or at all) the past two days but that didn't stop everyone from passing him around. Hopefully all this attention will help him be outgoing like his dad when he gets older.
