GO BYU COUGARS!!

A little grin to melt your heart. Parker is full of smiles these days!

Tyler and Parker's sing-a-long... Parker has discovered his singing voice and loves to sing along with mom and dad. He must get his musical talent from his daddy!

Just some cute pictures of Parker and his friend Jack on game day last week. We will try to overlook the Johnson family's vice of being BSU fans... (JK Laura) We like BSU too, but we LOVE BYU! Keep it up team 4-0!

So life has been a little crazy ever since school started up again, especially this past week when Tyler left us alone for five...yes  five!....whole days for his appraisal class in Salt Lake. Both Parker ad I missed him soooooo much! We were so glad to get him back! So it has been a couple weeks of blogging deprivation for me. Even now I am typing with one hand, holding Parker in the other while waiting for my hubby to come home from class.

Two Sundays ago we blessed Parker in our student ward. What a special day for all of us. We were lucky to have ALL our family there... we pretty much took up the whole chapel.  My grandma and uncle and aunt and cousins even traveled to be there. We also had a few very good friend join us. We are so blessed when it comes to our family and friends. The blessing was beautiful, despite Tyler slipping the name "Danger" in there right in between Douglas and Pooley so yes.. my son will now be known on the records of the Church as Parker Douglas Danger Pooley, it's official! Ha ha but it didn't take away from the wonderful Spirit that was there. Afterward Tyler and I also shared our testimonies which was an emotional experience for me because I got to share mine with my dad. It was a very special daddy-son day for Tyler and Parker.Afterward we went to my parents for a luncheon where e took these pictures. I didn't get a chance to take any pics before we changed out of our church clothes, but Parker is still in his outfit.

Tyler and I are busy with school. Tyler rocked his appraisal class exam because he is a genius (his words of course:) I have been enjoying my clinicals working in a nursing home however, I am thinking it's a little slow paced for me. I guess I should be happy I'm not super overwhelmed.

Parker, despite being sick and grouchy while Tyler was gone, is a bundle of joy. He is really starting to become a little person with a personality. It is so fun. He smiles and "talks" to us. It is so fun to watch him grow. He and I have been enjoying our morning walks along the greenbelt with our friends from our ward. Five moms and six boys (with another boy on the way). It is fun! And I am finally motivated to do some form of exercise- don't expect much more from me though.

Lastly, we are getting ready for a fun fall. I LOVE fall it is my favorite time of year. We've already started enjoying it with our college football fun. Loved watching BYU whoop on UCLA! We can't wait for Parker's first BYU game and first Halloween, all coming up soon!

Another Semester Begins...

Tyler and I started school again last week at Boise State. Tyler is working on his second semester of his Master's in Business Administration and I am in my third semester of the nursing program. We are looking forward to a very, very busy semester between Tyler working, going to school, and taking some Appraisal Institute classes in Salt Lake as well as me going to school and Parker being so little! It will be crazy but worth it. We enjoyed one last get away before Fall sets in by going up to Cascade over Labor Day weekend with his family. It was already cooling down up there, I think it only got up to around 65 degrees, so we didn't do much outside of the hotel but it was still very nice to get away. I also really enjoyed watching Tyler and his mom try to ride a tandem bike they rented from the hotel. I really wish I had taken a picture of that!

Along with school starting came saying goodbye to Kristen :( She moved down to Provo to attend BYU on Saturday. It is hard to see her go but I know how much fun she will have (recalling my good times in P town). Plus we plan on attending some football games since Tyler, Jake, Parker and I are all die-hard Cougar Football fans... GO COUGS! Anyway, we will see her then! Good luck sister!

Saturday night we went to a friend of Tyler's wedding. It was out in Nampa at St. Chapelle Winery. We were brave and brought Parker along hoping he wouldn't cry and disrupt the wedding. Besides burping extremely loud in the middle of a prayer that the Pastor was giving, he did wonderfully! Tyler enjoyed catching up with a couple of his high school friends and showing off his family (what can I say, we are pretty cute!)
